iolite TVC-002 Black Solid Minivac Container

I just recently purchased one to keep my "medicine" in (it's OK I live in California)

It's the prefect size, not too small, and not so big to where I cant bring it anywhere. Great color, sleek and sturdy design. The "vacuum" seal only works if the container is filled to 3/4 capacity or less. Needs room to create that suction effect.

My only real complaint about the product is that it claims to be smell "proof." I would say it helps, but doesn't by any means cancel the smell. I would say it contains about 50% of odors. Hope this helps

I bought this product on the basis of the claim that it was vacuum sealed. However that is far from the truth. While yes, you can create a vacuum inside of the chamber by pulling up on the lid, it does not maintain a vacuum and everything inside is still at atmospheric pressure. Unlike other devices, such as say Tupperware, which actually create a constant negative pressure when the top is "burped" the tightvac will never achieve pressure below atmospheric for any length of time (read 20-30 sec). The reason for this is that no air tight seal is EVER produced. As you lift the top off to open it you do feel resistance from air trying to enter through the snug, but nowhere near air-tight, gap between the two halves. If you stop lifting the top the pressure will equalize and return to atmospheric.

This is a perfect container for your herbs. Small and vacuum seal works perfectly. I use this also to store coffee for work. I would recommend this product
